Every Nomad barrel — residential and commercial — is built to the same standard: 1.5" true thick staves (2x6 material), stainless steel banding, and the best stoves available at the time of the order. Currently that's Iki wood-fired, Homecraft electric, and Torch propane, depending on your operation and infrastructure.

The 20-foot barrel pushes to 16–18+ people. For gyms, the 16-footer is typically the sweet spot. For hotels and resort spas, 16' or 20' depending on expected guest volume.

We have operators running sessions all day on a 16-foot unit without performance degradation. Heat-up time for all sizes is 60–90 minutes, depending on ambient starting temperature and firewood quality on wood-fired units. Once at temperature, the sauna holds steady with minimal fuel input for as long as you need to operate.
